A supply chain strategy has been developed which sets the framework for change and put the provides clear direction to achieve the best overall outcome from the UKCS.
The strategy sets out how the OGA will continue to work collaboratively with the industry, government and trade associations to support and develops stronger supply chain, which can compete globally. This will involve growing exports and reducing imports while anchoring activities and expertise in the UK and further developing the UK as a centre of excellence.
The strategy has three objectives:
- Maximise the economic potential from the UKCS
- Anchor the service sector in the UK
- Double the accessible international market share by 2035
A supply chain delivery programme was published in October 2016 setting out all the action areas and allocating responsibilities and timescales for delivery.
