Decommissioning Roadmap

Decommissioning Roadmap Building Blocks:

This tool has been created to help construct decommissioning roadmaps. The aim is to clearly display the regulatory stakeholder engagement requirements throughout a decommissioning project’s lifecycle. In combination with real life examples, a project specific roadmap can be built with the knowledge that not only has the regulatory regime been taken into account, it has been based on achievable timelines.

This roadmap is currently a draft work in progress. The final version will be interactive with each statement carrying a clear definition with a link to a resource, where required. We hope the completed tool will become a useful hub when looking for information regarding the regulatory requirements of decommissioning.

Roadmap Example from Industry:

Available for download are real life examples of roadmaps detailing indicative timings of major milestones throughout projects and giving context to the Roadmap Building Blocks. These examples have been made accessible by the operator community to help aid understanding and planning of a multitude of types of decommissioning projects. These are not definitive by any means but the OGA aim, with the cooperation of operators, is to promote identification of good practice by building a library of examples that can be used as a resource.
