The North Sea Transition Deal is an agreement between industry and government to deliver an orderly energy transition. The NSTA is helping deliver on many of the aims of the deal.

We will continue to undertake pro-active, structured and prioritised stewardship reviews with operators and licensees based on intelligence gathered, prioritising those with the greatest impact on economic recovery and support the drive to net zero carbon by 2050.

This Emissions Monitoring Report, which will be updated annually, is part of the Authority'ss efforts to monitor, benchmark and hold the industry to account on its progress towards net zero.

Our goal is to be the authoritative source for reliable, freely-available, industry-wide petroleum-related data. The NSTA's Digital Strategy 2020-2025 describes how we will deliver, promote and influence digital excellence to support maximising economic recovery and the move to net zero carbon.
