The OGA is pleased to announce that Stuart Payne, Director of Supply Chain, Decommissioning and HR, has been awarded a CBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List for services to the oil and gas sector.
Stuart said: “I’m honoured and humbled to receive this award, and of course very proud to work as part of this fantastic, innovative industry alongside many talented people.”
Stuart is responsible for the OGA’s activities in support of decommissioning and leads the OGA’s work with the UK service sector. In addition to this, he is accountable for the OGA’s HR function.
Stuart co-chairs the industry’s MER UK Supply Chain & Exports Task Force and is a member of the Scottish Government’s Oil and Gas Industry Leadership Group. Stuart joined the OGA in January 2015 having held a variety of leadership positions in the oil and gas industry in the UK and overseas. Away from the OGA, Stuart is a non-executive director of the Brightside Trust and a member of the Advisory Board of Barnardo’s Scotland
