The Oil and Gas Authority has released the final deliverables from the two-year post-doctoral Frontier Basins Research Rockall Trough project that was completed by the University of Aberdeen earlier this year.

The University of Aberdeen research project has produced a regional seismic interpretation based on the OGA’s released 2D and legacy seismic data plus a detailed well look-back audit and final project report that presents a series of play element maps. The project also provides some new insights into the petroleum system in the Rockall Trough area by bringing together the findings of other research projects carried out in adjacent areas.

The deliverables from the University of Aberdeen project have been released under the OGA User Licence Agreement and all copyright for the products is held by the University of Aberdeen.
