The OGA recently announced the launch of a consultation seeking views from industry on proposed regulations relating to the retention and disclosure of petroleum-related information and samples.

These proposals for regulations aim to fulfil one of the key recommendations of the Wood Review, of ensuring greater access to timely and transparent data to facilitate MER UK, while minimising burden on industry.

The OGA is hosting two meetings in August to discuss these proposals, one in Aberdeen and another in London. We will use these meetings to explain and where necessary, clarify our proposals and listen to any feedback

Separate invitations for these meetings have already been sent to organisations that are likely to be affected by the new regulations.
