Nick Terell

Nick Terell

Nick is Managing Director and co-founder of Azinor Catalyst, a Seacrest Capital backed E&P company focused on the UKCS. The company is a UK offshore operator and is focused on high value exploration and selective low risk production and development opportunities. Prior to launching the company in February 2014, he was Exploration Director at US Independent Endeavour Energy. He is also a Director at Oil & Gas UK and past-President of the PESGB.

Nick was appointed in his role at the UK Oil and Gas Authority in mid-2015.  He is responsible for managing the UK's portfolio of offshore E&A licences and prospective resources, as well as regional exploration activities supported by subsurface technical studies and special projects.

He previously held various positions within a number of E&P companies (Shell, Maersk Oil, Dana Petroleum).

Nick holds a Bachelors Degree in Geology from the University of Oxford, a Masters Degree from the University of Edinburgh and a Doctorate from ETH Zürich, Switzerland

 

Jenny Morris

Jenny Morris

Jenny is currently the Head of Exploration UK & Ireland for Equinor, managing both the UK and Ireland asset portfolio. She has worked in the Oil and Gas industry for over 15 years, joining Statoil in 2006 as a geoscientist. For the majority of her career she has led exploration teams and well programmes spanning the UKCS and sub-basalt Faroes province.

She is also a Board Member for Equinor UK.

Jenny holds a Bachelors Degree in Geology and a Masters Degree and Doctorate from Imperial College, London.

John Underhill is Chief Scientist and Professor of Exploration Geoscience at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh. He has over thirty years’ experience working with the North Sea oil and gas industry. He has spent time working at Shell and undertaken sabbaticals with BP and Norsk Hydro. He is the Academic Director leading the UK Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) in Oil and Gas, a consortium of 17 Universities sponsored by 8 companies. He populates the Royal Society of Edinburgh’s Scotland Energy Future Inquiry and the UK Research & Innovation (UKRI)’s Geoenergy Observatories Science Advisory Group (GSAG) overseeing the Research Council’s new centres for research in the subsurface environment

Andy has over 20 years experience as a geophysicist and structural geologist working for both E&P (Venture Production, Centrica, Siccar Point Energy) and consultancy companies (Robertson Research, Odegaard, Schlumberger). He has a wealth of UKCS and International exploration and field development geophysical experience and also has the role of Subsurface Manager for Siccar Point Energy’s non-operated assets.

Jon has over thirty years of international Oil and Gas industry experience working on projects for a number of companies including Hess Corporation, OMV and DONG Energy. An exploration geologist by background, Jon has led exploration teams in NW Europe with particular focus on the UK West of Shetlands. Most recently he headed DONG Energy’s exploration efforts prior to their take over by INEOS Group.

Katy Heidenreich is Upstream Operations Optimisation Manager at Oil & Gas UK and is responsible for promoting operational excellence and driving industry initiatives that align with the Maximising Economic Recovery (MER UK) Strategy and increase the competitiveness of the UK Continental Shelf (UKCS).

Katy has spent most of her career in the oil and gas industry working in technical and senior management roles in the UK, Norway and Azerbaijan. Katy joined Oil & Gas UK, the upstream industry trade association, after 15 years with Schlumberger Oilfield services.

Graham Goffey

Graham Goffey

Over a 30+ year career in the petroleum industry, Graham has worked for companies including Conoco, LASMO, Paladin and PA Resources. A geoscientist by training, he has broad-ranging experience across the North Sea countries, EAME, Asia/Australasia and has been involved in oil and gas discoveries in the UK, Denmark, Tunisia, Indonesia and Pakistan. He has published on specialist subjects and co-edited Geological Society special publications on stratigraphic traps and fold-thrust belts. He is presently co-editing a large memoir of papers on UK oil and gas fields, is Treasurer of the Geological Society and was chairman of its Petroleum Group from 2008 – 2010. His company, Soliton Resources, was recently awarded its first offshore UK blocks.

Over 35 years in exploration with assignments in Chevron Corporate HQ, NW Europe, sub-Sahara Africa and Middle East. Currently managing Chevron’s Exploration programme for UK North Sea & West of Britain based in Aberdeen.

Chrysanthe Munn

Chrysanthe Munn

Chrysanthe is currently the BP Exploration Manager responsible for access of new exploration opportunities within the North Sea, Greenland and Ireland.  She has worked in the oil and gas industry for over 19 years having joined BP in 2006 as an Exploration Geophysicist in Houston, USA. She is a member of the North Sea Leadership Team and the Russian, Caspian and Europe Exploration Function Leadership Team.  She holds a Ph.D. Applied Mathematics, a M.Sc. & M.Phil. Applied Mathematics and Applied Physics, and a B.Sc. Pure and Applied Mathematics.

Ben Hillier

Ben Hillier

Ben joined Shell in 1992 after a BSc at Southampton and a PhD at Cardiff. He has worked in various frontier/heartland ventures and locations including, the Falklands, Brazil and Gulf of Mexico deep water followed by exploration manager roles for Caspian/Kazakhstan, Russia, Greenland and Italy. He began his current assignment as UK Exploration Manager in 2016 soon after returning to the London office in Canary Wharf which is now headquarters for Shell exploration worldwide. Ben leads the global exploration manager network within Shell and is a member of the OGA Exploration Task Force.

Mohamed Amine Soudani

Mohamed Amine Soudani

Amine is currently the North Sea Area Exploration manager in Total heading exploration activity for the UK, Norway, Denmark and the Netherlands. He has worked for the Oil and Gas industry for over 16 years. He joined Total as a geophysicist in 2003. His experience is mainly in exploration in different basins worldwide: North Africa, Golf of Guinea, East Africa, Caspian Sea and now North Sea. Amine is also an Excom Member of TEPUK.

Amine holds a and Masters Degree in Electrical engineering and Computer Science and a PhD in geophysics from National Polytechnical Institute of Grenoble, France.
